Halloween is NOT in Albany

Yes I know, people like me and Live Music Blog , among others, posted about Halloween possibly being in Albany. (My post here) After YEM Blog tweeted about Mr. Miner claiming Halloween in Atlantic City and me claiming Albany, a lot of people have been asking me questions.  I decided to email the events coordinator at the Times-Union Center in Albany acting the part of an employee of a company that was curious about renting out the Arena for the Saturday of Halloween weekend to see if the Arena was, in fact, booked.  I did this here to find out about a possible end-of-summer festival in Limestone to put an end to those rumors.

Here is the correspondence with the Times-Union Center:

I sent;

The company I work for would like me to inquire about Arena space the Saturday of Halloween weekend.  There is nothing on your calender for that weekend–would the Arena be open that afternoon?  Please let me know ASAP.

They Responded;

 We DO have that weekend open and would be happy to work with you.

Please feel free to give me a call or drop me a line to discuss

Despite Phish not playing in Albany for Halloween this summer (unless it’s some obscure venue), the rest of the rumors are not unlikely that I posted about– especially the three nights after ACL in Broomfield, CO and New Year’s Eve at MSG.

I put in some emails to people working at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City–no one has responded yet.
