Phish Members to Play Wildfire Benefit in Broomfield on October 9

Phish and String Cheese, together at last.

The boys have been booked for the Four Mile Canyon Revival, a concert to raise money for those affected by the recent wildfires near Boulder, Colorado. The show, which will take place at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield on October 9th, will also feature the String Cheese Incident, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Vince Herman and Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon.

All proceeds from the concert will go to the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund, which supports the local volunteer fire departments that fought the wildfire, as well as local residents who were impacted.

The following night, of course, Phish opens a three-night run at the 1st Bank Center. Those shows are (very) sold out.

It is not clear whether “Phish” will perform, per se. The announcement on phish.com reads, “Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell and Trey Anastasio will take part in the event…,” and the KBCO banner mentions “special guests Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell and Trey Anastasio.” Keep that in mind when you decide whether to buy tickets–which go on sale Tuesday, September 21st, at 10 a.m. Mountain Time at tickethorse.com. Here’s hoping that whatever goes down, it includes a duo between Trey on the Languedoc, and SCI mandolinist Michael Kang on the Kanguedoc.
