Phish Announces Summer 2012 – Leg 2

After announcing Leg 1 of their Summer 2012 tour last month, Phish brought Fishman back to his video glory in a, um, unique, announcement for Leg 2. Seemingly bookmarked by three-night runs at a new venue (The Bill Graham Civic Center) and another that saw a great summer come to an end with an even greater run (Dick’s Sporting Goods Park), Leg 2 brings shows to the West Coast, the Rocky Mountains, the lower plains (not quite Texas) and part of the deep south.

In addition to the aforementioned three-night stands in California and Colorado, Leg 2 of summer tour is marked by the band’s first trip to Oklahoma (marking one less name for campgrounds at a future festival), a return to Oak Mountain for the first time since 1999, and a visit to St. Louis’ (relatively) new Chaifetz Arena, built in 2008 with a capacity of just over 10,000 listed for sporting events. With trips to the West Coast, Rocky Mountains, lower plains (not quite Texas though, sorry folks) and the deep south, Leg 2 pairs with Leg 1’s dedication to the Midwest, a festival and the Eastern Seaboard.

Here’s to a great summer!
