According to the Alternative Distribution Alliance, Phish will release a 6 CD boxed set of two Phish shows at the famous UIC Pavilion on July 31st. Remastered by Fred Kevorkian, 6/18/94 and 11/25/94 will be given new life within the Phish community. In addition, tracks from the sound checks and new artwork by Jim Pollock will be included in the boxed set.
Phish: Chicago 94 will be released on JEMP Records at 39.98 and will immediately become a necessary piece to add to any fan’s collection. 6/18 is already wide celebrated as one of the most complete shows Phish has ever played and while solid recordings do exist, a pristine Kevorkian recording of this renown show will undoubtedly make your listening pleasure that much greater. Although 6/18 appears to be the focal point of the package, 11/25 is no pushover. Not only does this show feature the first glowstick war (sorry, no video), the show is complete with killer jamming, segues galore, and Thanksgiving themed “Harpua.”
