Just 10 days into a memorable 1994 Spring Tour, Phish entered the hallowed halls of New York City’s Beacon Theatre for a run of shows wrought with classic mid-90’s antics, another run through a handful of Hoist tunes debuted earlier in the tour and to close out the run, the Giant Country Horns.

With the New Year’s Eve run just over a week away, and 12.31.11 just beyond that, I wanted to provide a little encore to my three part MSG Preview that worked to recap a number of Phish’s covers from summer tour. For this encore performance, I figured no cover would be more timely than Auld Lang Syne.
