Dude, love that Cities. Highlight among highlights.
And good reminder re: Page's house - something in that vain.
Maybe Trey will want to bust out "My problem right there", prepping Broadway for Hands on a Hardbody...

So they played Peaches at Superball. Would have been my first, but I was on my back from my last shift volunteering at the festival and only faintly heard it.

I think YEM will be big.

Thanks for the shout out C3. The sparsity of playing has definitely added buzz and anticipation to their touring, specifically this NYE run. Great point about Bethel. I wish I had put that in the article because its so true. They came out and arguably played the best shows of the tour. Night 3 was just ok, but nights 1 and 2 raged. A lot of great moments, but that Cities is killer.

In respect to your overall theme idea: Page's House??? Last year's "theme" was could be labeled as doing one elongated plinko jam a night (Tweezer, Hood, Sand etc.). Here's to a great four night run.

"Maybe it’s just me, but I am more exited for the upcoming New Years Eve run at Madison Square Garden than I have been for other Phish related events in recent memory" - It's not just you, bud. You took the words I've been repeating to anyone who will listen right out of my mouth. Haven't been this pumped prob since Hampton and before that, I couldn't even point to a time. Probably because they were 'always around' before that. The sparcity of playing has added buzz and anticipation to this compact NYE blast.

To your point that people are nervous that the break will mess with their hotness, I'd note that Bethal rocked and there was almost a 6 month gap between shows before that run.

You knocked the article out of the park, also hitting on 4 of my big 'wishes': 1) More overall funk 2) new tunes 3) love spanish moon, WFC is one of my fav albums of all time, it was a thrill to see and wish they'd destroy this tune at MSG (See: #1) 4) Bring back Tube (See #1)

What i'd really like is some sort of overall theme to the 4 nights that will tie them together and give them some sort of stand-alone memory. Im not sure if that is accomplished with a particular style of playing or some irreverant humor (occupy wall st references) or a song they tease or go in and out of all 4 nights, but i'd love if there was something we could look back and point to as the theme of the run.

Dog Log. It needs to reappear and MSG is a great opportunity. I've been waiting for this song to reemerge since IT.

I'd also like to hear Mango Song, Waves, FEFU or If I Could (these ballads have fallen out of heavy rotation), and the 3.0 cover of choice Golden Age.
